I dedicate this blog to comics in all forms, manga, autobio, superhero, art books, etc. And of course, since I need a challenge, I've decided that I'll read and write (short) reviews for 365 comics during 2015.
So, this really wasn't much of a stretch for me, since I've already used my library app as well as had a training session on using the library app (and other things).
I took a look at the ELM mobile and could see using it, but really only to browse say MN Reflections or something like that. If I absolutely needed to look something up on the go, I probably don't need ELM, I'd use Google, since the probability of me needing to look up something research related when I'm not prepared and at a desktop computer is very unlikely.
Maybe I forgot to cite an article on a research paper I'm about to hand out, I could use ELM for that.
Overall it was fun to poke around in ELM, but I'd much prefer to conduct my research on a full size computer where I could have multiple programs running with much more ease of use than with a tablet or phone. Yes, I know that you can have multiple programs running on an iPad, but going back and forth from a document, to a website, to an database, to a PDF doc, etc. Which I would often do during research and writing, would be quite a pain.
I think the mobile app for library catalogs and account information is great though and very useful.
