I dedicate this blog to comics in all forms, manga, autobio, superhero, art books, etc. And of course, since I need a challenge, I've decided that I'll read and write (short) reviews for 365 comics during 2015.
What is Operation Margarine? Two girls meet, one has been locked up, prodded, poked, made to feel crazy and to do as she's told, the other has had her heart broken and been kicked out of her house.
Now they're together, on their motorcycles, driving off into the desert.
There are still people to escape and a final confrontation that will blow everyone away.
This was a fun, definitely strange, comic book. Lot's of great facial expressions and humor, but also a great reaction to the stereotype of the hysterical woman.
I loved when one character tells Margarine, "Why are you making such a big scene...especially if you're not crazy," then ends up getting punched.
How'd she end up with a name like Margarine anyway? A weird, but awesome story, with cool art.
