I dedicate this blog to comics in all forms, manga, autobio, superhero, art books, etc. And of course, since I need a challenge, I've decided that I'll read and write (short) reviews for 365 comics during 2015.
This is pretty much too cute for me. But, for those who enjoy really soppy (Briticism for sentimental - similar to 'sappy') stories about young love, this is that cup of tea. It's got loads of milk and sugar. And honey.
According to my brother it is, "Adorbs." Pretty much a spot on description.
Soppy is a nicely drawn comic about two crazy kids moving in together. All the cute moments, even when they have little fights, are portrayed sometimes with a few word bubbles, but often with no words necessary. I did enjoy the sections where they argued back and forth about whose turn it was to make the tea.
There's really not much to say except it's very sweet and pretty short, so why not? Unlike the overly sweet shojou stuff though, this is a completely realistic, if rose tinged, slice of life comic.
