I'm Reading Comeeks

I dedicate this blog to comics in all forms, manga, autobio, superhero, art books, etc.  And of course, since I need a challenge, I've decided that I'll read and write (short) reviews for 365 comics during 2015.

Room for Love

Room For Love - ILYA

The story follows two lives that collide on a bridge.  17 year old runaway rent boy, Cougar, lives on the streets making money by offering his body to interested gentlemen.  When his friend gets beaten to death in the streets he finds himself completely alone and homeless in London.

Middle aged Pam Green is-or was-a writer of popular romance books.  But her muse has abandoned her, along with her love life, long ago.  She feels adrift, trying to write, but feeling like a fraud.  She's at the edge of desperation, even her cat has abandoned her.

When the two lives collide Pam invites Cougar into her home.  They both long for love and acceptance and eventually find at least acceptance with each other.  But it's a while coming, first both of them have to bear their scars.

The end is hopeful for each, but still leaves a lot to question, will they make it?
