I dedicate this blog to comics in all forms, manga, autobio, superhero, art books, etc. And of course, since I need a challenge, I've decided that I'll read and write (short) reviews for 365 comics during 2015.
In this episode of Lewis and Clark vs. The Lovecraftian West, Lewis battles a giant six tongued toad creature! Clark is saved yet again by Sacagewea!
This was a pretty amusing read, with some heavy tension developing in the plot. Love the creatures, the tentacle tongued toad (it's scientific name obviously) was especially cool. I also enjoyed the sharp witted Madam Boniface who has become assistant to Lewis and discovered secrets, putting herself both in danger, but in higher standing at the same time.
There was also a scene near the end with Lewis, a little flash-back, that made me wonder where the line lies in this historical fiction. Overall, I'd recommend this series, it's fantastical, action-packed, good plot tension, with some comical interludes. Hopefully it will continue to impress.
