I'm Reading Comeeks

I dedicate this blog to comics in all forms, manga, autobio, superhero, art books, etc.  And of course, since I need a challenge, I've decided that I'll read and write (short) reviews for 365 comics during 2015.

And another Thing

Remember that old comedy bit about the peanut butter aisle at the grocery store?  How there were just too many types to choose from, how was a person supposed to choose?

It's like that for everything now, including Apps.  There are a flip ton of Apps that do basically the same thing.  And Apple doesn't make it easier for us by refusing to have a good search function on the App Store.  Go ahead, try it.  Type the exact name of any App and hit search.  Did you find your app?  No?  Me either.  I did this with Instagram! You'd think Instagram would show up in the App store search for "Instagram", but no.

So, as with everything I've just been going to the websites to get the Apps from the 23 Mobile Things lists.  Very helpful, by the way.

Thing 9 was about taking and editing photos.  Thing 10 is about sharing them.  I kinda think it might as well have been one thing, since who takes photos and doesn't share them?  (Besides me).  The reason behind taking photos, especially on mobile devices, is because you want to Tweet them, or put them on your wall, or share them on Instagram, etc.

So, I actually already had shared photos after Thing 9, I added one to this blog, after all.  So, I added SnapChat to the iPad and snapped a photo of a book cart (so exciting), then I shared it.  It was easy to use, though the pics did disappear pretty fast, so not something to use if saving is the object.

It might be fun for "Spot It" type games, or I thought good to exchange writing prompts with my bro, like snap a pic of something interesting, he looks at it for 30 seconds, then has to write some flash fiction!  Sounds fun, right?

But, overall, I would probably use, as in the last post, sending to Google Drive, over anything else, since for me that would be the best use of the pic, I could save it and edit  it again, send it off again, all that good stuff, and it wouldn't be broadcast to just any Internet Joe or Sally.
